Visitor Visa
Canada has been repeatedly ranked as one of the most interesting tourist destinations. From mountains to glaciers and secluded lakes, Canada’s natural beauty is almost unparalleled worldwide. Each of its multicultural cities has its own personality and is delightful for various reasons. Cities such as Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver are possibly the best known and are among the most popular destinations for visitors to Canada.
Visitors to Canada need either a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to travelling to Canada, but not both. Most visitors can stay for a period of up to 6 months in Canada following the grant of a TRV or an ETA. Visitors to Canada planning to extend their stay need to apply for a visitor record prior to the expiry of their current status. The visitor record will include a new expiry date. In some cases, the immigration authorities will request a letter of invitation from someone in Canada to support the application for a TRV.
