Jayavadee Sooben was born and raised in Mauritius and over the past twenty-five years, she served various Ministries in Mauritius at the highest administrative level and retired as Permanent Secretary. During her tenure of office as a public officer in Mauritius, she proceeded on leave without pay to Canada as a Permanent Resident and developed a passion for Canadian immigration rules, policies and procedures. She decided to shift her focus and embarked on a career as an immigration consultant. After completing a post-graduate Immigration Consultant Programme in Laws, Policies and Procedures at the University of British Columbia, she successfully went through the Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant Exams and is now a registered member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) as well as the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC).
